1. Who we are

Pickled Sports ("Pickled", "we", "us") operates the Pickled portal at pickledsports.ie, serving the Cork pickleball community. We are based in Cork, Ireland.

2. What we collect

  • Account data: your name and email address when you create an account.
  • Player profile: name, email, phone number, skill level and DUPR rating when you register as a player.
  • Booking data: the session or court you book, date, time and any notes you provide.
  • League data: match scores you submit and your team affiliation.
  • Payment data: when online payments are enabled, payment is processed by Stripe. We store only Stripe transaction identifiers, never your card details.

3. Why we use it

  • To manage your bookings, coaching registrations and league participation.
  • To contact you about sessions you have booked or events you have entered.
  • To run the league: calculate standings, display public results and manage team rosters.
  • To send occasional marketing updates, only if you have given consent. You can opt out at any time.

4. What is public

Your name, skill level, DUPR rating, team and approved match results are visible on public league pages. Your email address and phone number are never shown publicly.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal and financial record-keeping obligations.
  • Withdraw marketing consent at any time without affecting your bookings or league participation.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

6. Data retention

We keep player and booking data for as long as you are an active participant, and transaction records for the period required by Irish financial law. Marketing consent and associated preferences are removed when you opt out or request deletion.

7. Contact

To exercise any of these rights, or to ask a question about how we handle your data, email us at pickledsports.ie.
